Life Comes To Fruition

It has been an anticipatory battle for Blaise to net.. Albeit too long for most. I have B'd my L all over some T's more times than this M'effer has netted. But slow and steady wins the race right? P.S. As an added incentive.. Whoever can guess my background image in the left portion of the second photograph besides Marco, Garrett, and the obvious.. Royal payments will ensue.

Oh boy I can't wait.

The Avett Brothers are playing at The Paramount on July 18th. Never have I been more excited for a show. Literally there is no one else I would rather see at this point in time. Not even if Carpathian came from all the way from Australia, resurrected Michael Jackson and they did a cover of the cover of "Smooth Criminal" by Alien Ant Farm, originally by MJ himself. You follow? All of this mind you, in the Alaska Room. While eating pizza, surrounded by beautiful women. I'd still chose TAB.

Who knows what is going to happen with the CBA/strike junk but let's just hope that this season happens. Because the Sounders need to win the MLS Cup.

Sounders 2010 Schedule Released.

Click here for the full schedule

The image is broken because that is the way that they send it in the email. Don't judge me...

Yes.

What do you think of this as a nice return to Seattle show? Try and guess which 2 we are going to see.

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!

To kick things off again, watch the greatest music video in the history of the world. As the title states on the post, we are back. California was great but it was time to come home. Stay tuned for a post of the trip.

10/30/09

Yeah jump on the bandwagon why don't you. Stupid animals.

I guess these guys over at Woodland Park Zoo are a fan of the Sounders too.

THE TRUTH:
5 year old, Wayne Wilkins*, was upset about the Sounders draw last night, so his parents decided to take him to the Zoo in hopes of cheering up the little bugger. Anyway, little Wayne was playing with his Sounders ball, working on his touch (he is already much better than Jaqua) when he got too close to the Bear cage. Short story long, the Bear fucking grabbed him and punched him to death. Yeah...and then the same shit happened with the Snow Leopards and the Penguins. A lot of people died. So yeah I definitely didn't make this up, this is like a fable, it's a true story. No, fuck you man. That shit's real.

*=Name changed to protect the innocent, dead.

Here is what we are looking at boys.

The MLS playoffs draw. The Final of course being in Seattle on November 22nd. I used to have tickets to this bad boy but in the divorce I had to give them back. The Sounders are looking great right now and I can't wait to get my hands on the MLS Cup. In other football news, Liverpool rightfully whooped the shit out of Manchester United, (again and again and again). Lowell and I will be leaving Florida next Sunday pointing the Explorer NW and we will see you all very soon after. That's about all for now.

10/19/09

Work to do, work to do!

Still in the process of packing and getting ready to drive back to Seattle. We will be on the road in 2 weeks.

10/8/09

Took a break from packing...

As you should know by now Lowell and I have finished up in Florida and are now in the process of packing up to move back to Seattle. As boxing up all of the shit we have accumulated can be daunting, we took a break last night for some much needed Fifa therapy. What you have witnessed above is real, if you think your pussy ass can do better, lay it on me.

Notice the High Definition Blu-Ray quality video that we are providing you guys? This is a new feature that is solely for you enjoyment. It's also 7.1 surround sound. Such good quality...Sorry if the pictures are a little shaky, Lowell was the camera man, as I was still celebrating my goal. That's what Carlsberg does to people.

In other news: Sorry for the lack of updates as we have been extremely busy with everything. We will provide some good ol' That's Bone moving day posts though. As well as document the drive back to the PNW. (I fucking hate the heat.)

9/3/09

This is the 1st time I have ever seen Hurtado smile.

Our first piece of silverware as an expansion team. Excellent game that we definitely deserved to win. Celebrate.

Goods V-Necks

Don't get me wrong I hate V-necks and the D-bags that wear them but I can't say I wouldn't wear a Goods one. Looks like they're only in stores for now. (Not online)

FC Barcelona's history explains the club's motto

"FC Barcelona’s club motto seems boastful. Mes que un club – More than a club. But a look at the club’s history shows its humble roots and admirable themes that prove the motto true.

To Catalans in Spain, Barca has been “a defining institution of Catalan nationalism,” as Franklin Foer wrote in his 2004 book, How Soccer Explains the World. They have a policy not to accept money for a corporate shirt sponsor and, beginning in 2006, they started donating $1.9 million each year to UNICEF in an agreement that allows the club to adorn the UNICEF logo across the front of their kits.

Add to those ideals their worldwide roster that includes players from nine different countries and four continents and tremendous success on the pitch that includes winning the treble last year and it becomes clear why FC Barcelona is considered the most popular club in all of Europe.

When the Catalan flag and language were banned after the Spanish Civil War, Camp Nou – the club’s stadium – was among the few places the language could still be heard. It therefore became a beacon for Catalonia and, over time, a symbol of progress because of the frequent defense of rights and freedoms by the club and its fans.

For all the on-field success they’ve had in the club’s 110 years, none could match that of the 2008-2009 season. And it came as quite a shock. Club president Joan Laporta was nearly ousted when the club’s membership (for which the Sounders FC Members Association was modeled) issued a 60% vote of no-confidence, falling just short of the two-thirds majority required. Laporta hired club legend Josep Guardiola as manager and retooled the roster and let the magic happen on the pitch.

Over a two-week span in May, FC Barcelona won the Copa del Rey (equivalent to the US Open Cup), the La Liga championship and the UEFA Champions League to become the first Spanish club to win the three trophies in the same season.

They bring most of that treble-winning roster to Seattle to face the Sounders Wednesday night at Qwest Field. Some roster highlights include Argentine phenom Lionel Messi, recently acquired Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Spanish veterans Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Carlos Puyol and Mexican defender Rafael Marquez. Not to mention Freddie Ljungberg’s former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry (for whom my two-year-old son Henry was named)."

Kickoff is set for 7:30 Wednesday night at a sold out Qwest Field.

P.S. I did not write this

What the fuck?

Emerald Spire to be presented to "friends"

RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders FC and renowned artist Dale Chihuly (If you live in Seattle and don't know who this is then you FUCKING SUCK) have entered a five-year partnership to create a unique piece of commemorative artwork that will be presented to the club’s friendly opponents, beginning with Chelsea FC (FUCKING SUCK) on July 18, the team announced this afternoon.

“The opportunity to partner with Dale Chihuly, a world-renowned artist, to develop a signature piece of art as a gift for international teams needed no discussion,” said Sounders FC owner and general manager Adrian Hanauer. “We look forward to a long and vibrant partnership.”

Chihuly has created the striking Emerald Spire, based on Chihuly’s Venetian series of hand-blown glass. The mirrored surface of the Venetian reflects the excellence of each team that will be hosted by the Sounders and Seattle. The artwork which boasts an emerald feather stands approximately 20” high and measures 5” in width at its base.

“It was a lot of fun to design and make the commemorative artwork for the Sounders FC and the visiting international teams,” said Chihuly. “I am great fan of the organization and it’s a thrill to partner with them on this exciting venture.”

Sounders FC will host Chelsea FC (FUCKING SUCK) and FC Barcelona as its two international friendlies at Qwest Field this season. The FC Barcelona match is set for August 5.

P.S. Chelsea is not a fucking friend of mine. Fuck off Blue shite, no small clubs allowed.

Official Logo of the 2009 MLS Cup.

Did you know that the trophy was designed by Tiffany & Co.? Well now you do, and it's going to look great in the Sounders trophy cabinet, along with the U.S. Open Cup and what's that other football trophy? Oh yeah, the Vince Lombardi trophy? Don't you fucking worry we will win that shit too...Wait what do you mean it's a different kind of football? Like Throwball? Fuck it, lets put it in there too.
