Stoosy X Ren & Stimpy

Stussy has worked with Canadian artist John Kricfalusi, known for his cartoon characters Ren and Stimpy. The t-shirt comes in two colorways and mixes the classic SS-Link graphic by Stussy with the artwork of the artist. Unfortunately this shit will only be released in Japan on June 20th. What the fuck. Lets take a heavily popular American/Canadian cartoon, release a tee with Stussy, and release it only in a country who didn't fucking watch the god damn show. Some logic I'll never understand...

Patta X Stussy

"For the well-respected Amsterdam-based boutique Patta, The Dutch crew are partnering with Stussy on a commemorative 5th anniversary t-shirt. I can't fucking wait to move to the Netherlands. I'm going to write a memoir for sure. It will be appropriately titled Lowell Miller: The Legend Of The Red Light District Pussy Crusher. Speaking of pussy crushing and Nederland, the dutch national team went undefeated in the group stage for World Cup Qualifying. Not only that but they are ranked number two in the fucking world. It sure is great to have my two teams shit on the rest of the competition. (Viva Espana)

I don't know if you know this but Shawn Stussy sold Stussy many moons ago. It appears as though he is dusting off the boots and has relaunched his campaign under the S/Double name. This is a collab with Vans Syndicate under the Sk8-Low stylings. I would like to clear the air about an age old myth, stop fucking calling it stuh-ssy, like STUck up, or however the fuck you want to break it down. "Im an uneducated douche, did you see the new stuh-ssy shirts Lowell?" Why no I didn't you insignificant fuck, what the hell is stuh-ssy? Oh surely you meant STOOSY. Like loosey goosey you fucking prick. Get it together grouch.

Feature: A Brief History

In 1980, Shawn Stussy was a local cult surfboard shaper who took his scrawled signature logo from his foam masterpieces and applied it to tee shirts that he sold along with his boards around Laguna Beach, California.

As the clothing line expanded, it's raw and modern aesthetic soon developed into the next generation of new wave beach culture. We grew during a time when epochal shifts which eternally framed contemporary popular culture were taking place.

In the music scene, the late 70's gave us punk. Then the early 80's brought us into the new DIY music called rap. Punk broke creative and aesthetic barriers and taught us that anyone could have a band. Rap then preceded not only to push social boundaries but as well explore the ideas of remixing and sampling. These new ideas and territories created a new modern platform for fashion and cultural expression.

With Stussy's success came the opportunity to travel and spread the Stussy vibe. We hooked up with trendsetters in New York, London, Tokyo and other areas of the world. Stussy clothing was inspired by this international group of musicians, skaters, DJs and artists with similar tastes, which helped to shape the brand into an international streetwear label.

Today, Stussy exists as a brand with worldwide respect and independence. With over sixty stores across the globe and a very strong tribe still in effect, Stussy is a leader in the culture which we helped start over 25 years ago.
